ISI Italian Earthquake Engineering: ing. Gabriele Miceli appointed president

A Board of Directors that reconfirms most of the outgoing members to which are added new figures of confirmed professionalism and experience. At the Presidency Ing. Gabriele Miceli, a leading voice in the sector and an expression of balance between experience gained and renewed momentum with a growth-oriented vision.

Rome, 10 June 2025 – The new Board of Directors that will lead the Association for the three-year period 2025 – 2028 was elected at the Ordinary Assembly of ISI Associates, held on 29 May in Bologna. Appointed to the Presidency Eng. Gabriele Miceli. The new ISI Board of Directors, which includes 15 members, many of whom were confirmed by the previous board, to which new figures of confirmed professionalism and experience in the sector have been added, is composed as follows:

A larger group than the previous one, in response to the growth of the Association, fully expressing the plurality and representativeness of the widely transversal world in the construction supply chain. The next objectives of the new Board of Directors will aim to strengthen synergies between the players in the sector, the promotion of technical-scientific content and the increasingly wide dissemination of culture in the field of the safety of structures and infrastructures.

Gabriele Miceli, new President of ISI, who continues "Our commitment will be in the name of continuity with the work done and the evolution of the Association, with the aim of consolidating the relationship with the member Associations, strengthening institutional collaborations and promoting a shared vision oriented towards the growth of the sector."

During the Assembly, the main results achieved by ISI in the three-year period 2022-2025 were presented, testifying to solid and constant growth both in terms of initiatives and involvement of the sector. Since 2022, the Association has recorded an 86% increase in the number of supporting members. The Scientific Committee was consolidated with the participation of 36 professors and researchers, from 27 universities and national research institutions. In the three-year period, ISI has launched 7 working groups, 26 accredited training events and organized 5 collective participations in important trade fairs. It has also actively taken part in conferences, public initiatives, special projects and professional networks and has granted over 100 patronages to activities consistent with the mission of the Association.

Ing. Davide Trutalli, who continues in his role as Director of ISI, congratulates the elected Councilors and the new Offices: "A competent and determined team, capable of meeting the challenges that await us with a shared vision and a constructive spirit. I am sure that, with everyone's contribution, ISI will be able to continue its growth path, strengthening its role as a reference point for the construction safety sector."
