The interventions included the removal of the existing deck, the consolidation of the existing abutments and the land on the back, the laying of new reinforced concrete pulvins and the launch of the new metal deck with a collaborating reinforced concrete slab.

High obliquity

The work has a high obliquity, equal to 52°, with respect to the vertical axis, with a transversal width of the platform of 12.20 m, measured along the diagonal and a width of 7.5 m, measured transversely with respect to the longitudinal sides of the work.

The main structure is made of 4 double-T steel beams with a distance of 2.5 m obliquely on the entire carriageway and a height of 1 m. These beams are connected by steel crosspieces, connected to abutments coming from the main beams through bolted nodes on both the wings and the cores.

The slab consists of self-supporting predalles in reinforced concrete with a thickness of 6 cm and an additional concrete casting.

The new deck

The new overpass will accommodate both urban and pedestrian vehicular traffic.

The new deck will consist of a mixed structure with main metal beams and a cooperating prestressed concrete slab with a span of 16 m, measured in axis between the supports.
